Mission

   The mission of FloridaSDC is to create, maintain, and access an environment
    in which SDC Participants freely navigate the road to recovery on their own terms,
    making informed choices along the way to achieve a state of mental wellness and to return to,
    or achieve, a productive lifestyle, including employment.   

Values

·         Working as equals, as colleagues;

·         Choosing how to travel the road to recovery, and what paths to follow;

·         Learning safety, as a means of enhancing choice;

·         Voicing needs, and responding to needs in a respectful manner;

·         Learning access and choice, seeking objective support and education;

·         Promoting and encouraging innovation;

·         Exercising best practices in self-determination and independently brokering services;

·         Adhering to state and federal laws and regulations; and

·         Honoring the original intent of the grass-roots planners.
